Consumer Price Index for South Sudan August 2023

The South Sudan annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased by 3.1% from August 2022 to August 2023. The increase was mainly driven by higher prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages etc.
The annual CPI increased in Juba by 21.5%, decreased in Malakal by 20.4%, and Wau by 11.5% from August 2022 to August 2023.
The South Sudan monthly CPI decreased by 3% from July 2023 to August 2023. The monthly CPI decreased by 1.9% in Juba, 6.3% in Malakal, and 5.9 % in Wau.
