Consumer Price Index for South Sudan August 2022

The South Sudan annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased 2.5% from Aug 2021 to Aug 2022. The increase was mainly driven by higher prices of Food & Non-alcoholic beverages etc.

The annual CPI increased in Juba by 1.7%, decreased in Malakal by 21.4% and increased in Wau by 57.2% from Aug 2021 to Aug 2022.

The South Sudan monthly CPI decreased by 1.5% from July 2022 to Aug 2022. The monthly CPI decreased by 3% in Juba, 11.9% in Malakal and 9.5% in Wau.
