Consumer Price Index for South Sudan May 2022

The South Sudan annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased 6.6% from May 2021 to May 2022. The increase was mainly driven by higher prices of Food & Non-alcoholic beverages etc.
The annual CPI decreased in Juba by 18.2%, increased in Malakal by 43.6% and decreased in Wau by 14.4% from May 2021 to May 2022 respectively.
The South Sudan monthly CPI increased by 0.4% from April 2022 to May 2022. The monthly CPI increased by 1.4% in Juba, decreased by 7.5% in Malakal and 4.1% in Wau
