Consumer Price Index for South Sudan May 2023

The South Sudan annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.7% from May 2022 to May 2023. The decrease was mainly driven by lower prices of Food & Non-alcoholic beverages etc.
The annual CPI increased in Juba by 24%, decreased in Malakal by 38.7%, and increased in Wau by 48.2% from May 2022 to May 2023.
The South Sudan monthly CPI increased by 8.9% from April 2023 to May 2023. The monthly CPI increased by 0.9% in Juba, 5% in Malakal, and 27.2% in Wau.
