The monthly inflation rate as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 1.38 percent in March 2025, compared to 7.61 percent in February 2025. This decline resulted from a decrease in prices of personal care, social protection & miscellaneous goods (-43.88%), health (-2.54%) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.47%).
On the other hand, the commodities that had their cost increased during this period include alcoholic beverages and tobacco (10.98%), furnishing and routine household commodities (10.14%), transport (11.07%), and education and services (21.72%).
Overall, however, and as presented in Table 1 and Table 2, the Consumer Price index increased from 178.81 in February 2025 to 181.27 in March 2025, resulting in a monthly inflation of 1.38 percent.
