Executive Summary
South Sudan is a new country emerging from decades of conflict, and is beginning to set up structural and institutional projects and programs aimed at accelerating the country's economic growth and improving social-economic development.
The rising demand for quality statistics has compelled the Government of Republic of South Sudan through the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to develop this National Strategy for Development of Statistics (NSDS) for 2014-2020. The strategy aims at ensuring that quality statistics for decision makers and the general public are available in an objective, coordinated, timely and cost effective manner.

Business Enterprise Surveys
Integrated business survey with groundwork for more frequent enterprise data collection to support economic analysis.
Agricultural Statistics
Large-scale agriculture survey to provide baseline for regular assessments of area, production and yield.
Price Statistics
Expanded consumer price and producer price collection activities to meet demands of MOFEP, BSS and other users.
